Warehouse & Facilities Utility Associate

Southeast Logistics LLC is looking for a dependable, self-motivated, and highly organized Warehouse & Facilities Utility Associate to help keep our warehouse, property, and inventory organized and maintained.

This is a hands-on, physically demanding position. The primary focus will be warehouse organization and cleanup, removing old or unwanted product, tearing down appliances for usable parts, groundskeeping, and general facility support. This person will also assist with unloading trucks and trailers when additional help is needed.

Responsibilities

• Organize and clean warehouse areas
• Maintain an orderly and efficient layout of inventory, parts, and materials
• Keep aisles, staging areas, and workspaces clear
• Identify areas that need to be cleaned, reorganized, or addressed
• Remove old, damaged, obsolete, or unwanted product
• Sort appliances and materials for salvage, recycling, or disposal
• Disassemble and part out appliances to recover usable components
• Organize, label, and store recovered parts and reusable materials
• Move appliances, pallets, scrap, and other materials throughout the warehouse
• Assist with unloading trucks and floor-loaded trailers when needed
• Sweep and maintain warehouse and exterior work areas
• Mow grass and maintain facility grounds
• Weed eat around buildings, fences, parking areas, and other areas
• Remove weeds, brush, trash, and debris
• Assist with miscellaneous warehouse, maintenance, and facility projects

Physical Requirements

This is a physically demanding position. Applicants must be able to safely perform heavy appliance handling as a regular part of the job.

Applicants must be able to:

• Move and maneuver full-size refrigerators
• Manually handle and reposition washers and dryers
• Manually stack washers and dryers when required
• Push, pull, tilt, lift, and maneuver heavy appliances throughout the warehouse
• Load, unload, and reposition appliances using proper techniques and available equipment
• Assist with unloading floor-loaded trucks and trailers
• Stand, walk, bend, squat, kneel, reach, and perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the workday
• Work safely around heavy appliances, pallets, carts, and warehouse equipment

Applicants must be comfortable with this level of physical work and able to safely perform these duties on a regular basis.

Work Environment

Applicants must be comfortable working in an active warehouse and outdoor environment, including:

• A warehouse that is not climate controlled
• Florida heat and humidity
• Dust, dirt, noise, and normal warehouse conditions
• Working around trucks, trailers, appliances, tools, and scrap material
• Moving between indoor warehouse work and outdoor grounds work throughout the day
• Performing physical work for extended periods in hot conditions

Schedule

This position will be scheduled a minimum of 3 days per week, with the possibility of working up to 5 days per week depending on workload and business needs.

Applicants should have flexibility to work additional days when needed.

Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who takes ownership of their work and takes pride in keeping the warehouse and property clean, organized, and under control.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can look around the facility, recognize what needs to be done, prioritize the work, and take initiative without requiring constant direction. This person should be comfortable moving from one type of task to another throughout the day and finding productive work when their assigned task is complete.

This is not primarily an unloading position, but applicants must be willing and physically capable of assisting with unloading whenever additional help is needed.

Warehouse, appliance, recycling, maintenance, landscaping, forklift, or mechanical experience is a plus.

Starting Pay: $15 per hour

Pay: From $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24.0 – 40.0 per week
