About the Position

We are looking for an experienced, dependable Warehouse & Local Dispatch Coordinator to join our Indianapolis operation immediately.

This is a hands-on position for someone who understands both sides of the operation: keeping a warehouse running efficiently while coordinating local deliveries and drivers throughout the day.

The ideal candidate is organized, proactive and comfortable juggling multiple priorities. You don’t need to sit behind a desk all day - you’ll be involved in warehouse operations, while also making sure local deliveries are scheduled, dispatched and completed efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily warehouse operations, including receiving, staging, picking, packing and shipping
• Schedule and dispatch local deliveries and drivers
• Plan efficient delivery routes and daily schedules
• Communicate with drivers throughout the day regarding routes, deliveries and schedule changes
• Coordinate delivery times with customers
• Monitor deliveries and address delays or other issues as they arise
• Prepare delivery paperwork, manifests and shipping documentation
• Verify orders for accuracy before they leave the warehouse
• Organize and stage outgoing deliveries
• Maintain accurate inventory and shipping records
• Communicate effectively with customers, drivers, warehouse personnel and management
• Troubleshoot delivery or warehouse issues and find practical solutions
• Assist with hands-on warehouse duties when needed
• Help maintain a clean, safe and organized warehouse
• Other duties as needed to keep daily operations running smoothly

What We’re Looking For:

• 3–5+ years of warehouse, distribution, logistics or transportation experience.
• Previous dispatching, routing or delivery coordination experience strongly preferred
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Comfortable communicating with drivers, customers and coworkers
• Good computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and email
• Experience with warehouse management, inventory or dispatch software is a plus
• Ability to work independently and make decisions throughout the day
• Strong attention to detail
• Reliable, dependable and willing to take ownership of the job
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adjust when priorities change
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record if local driving is occasionally required

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures: hot in the summer months and cold during the winter months.
• May be required to lift up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis.
