Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Logistics & Warehouse Manager.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, stock control, dispatch, logistics and staff management, ensuring that operations run efficiently and smoothly.

This is a middle-management position suited to someone with strong leadership abilities, excellent computer skills and experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing or warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily warehouse, logistics and dispatch operations.
• Supervise warehouse staff, forklift operators and dispatch teams.
• Oversee stock control, inventory management and stock reconciliations.
• Coordinate incoming and outgoing deliveries.
• Ensure accurate stock records and warehouse documentation.
• Monitor productivity and ensure operational targets are achieved.
• Maintain warehouse safety, housekeeping and compliance standards.
• Prepare operational reports using Excel and warehouse management systems.
• Identify areas for improvement and implement efficient warehouse procedures.
• Liaise with production, transport and management teams.

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum 3–5 years' experience in warehouse or logistics management.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing, FMCG or production environment.
• Strong computer literacy is essential, particularly Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Experience using stock control, inventory or warehouse management systems.
• Proven experience managing warehouse staff and daily operations.
• Good understanding of stock control, dispatch and logistics procedures.
• Strong organisational, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Matric certificate required; relevant logistics or supply chain qualification advantageous.
• Experience in the food manufacturing or sugar industry will be advantageous.
