What they need

Girramaa is a majority Aboriginal-owned business providing warehousing, transport, last-mile delivery and supply chain solutions to national and international clients.

An opportunity for an experienced Warehouse & Operations Coordinator is available for you to join our Darwin team. This isn't a traditional warehouse role.

We're looking for someone who can take ownership of day-to-day operations, coordinate client contracts and help lead our Darwin team.

Reporting to the Managing Director, you'll help coordinate our Darwin operations and ensure client contracts are delivered safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities:

  • Coordinating warehouse, logistics and last-mile operations
  • Managing multiple client contracts
  • Coordinating drivers, deliveries and workloads
  • Supporting and supervising staff and drivers
  • Receiving, dispatching and inventory management
  • Coordinating freight and collections
  • Maintaining inventory and client records
  • Communicating directly with clients
  • Supporting rostering and workforce coordination
  • Resolving day-to-day operational issues
  • Supporting safety, compliance and reporting
  • Working hands-on when required

Experience in wholesale, particularly building, plumbing or electrical supplies, would be highly regarded.

We're looking for someone organised, confident and comfortable taking responsibility.

Who we are looking for:

Ideally you'll have warehousing, logistics, transport or operations experience coupled with experience supervising or coordinating staff. Strong computer and administration skills with excellent organisation and communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Confidence in making operational decisions with a practical, hands-on attitude. Australian driver's license and Forklift license highly regarded; you must be able to pass a police background check and drug & alcohol test.

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.
