Warehouse and Shipping Operations Lead

Steamericas is looking for a dependable, systems-minded Warehouse and Shipping Operations Lead to take ownership of our Manchaca warehouse. This is a hands-on role, not a desk-only management job. You will personally ship and receive orders, maintain accurate inventory, coordinate a part-time warehouse assistant, solve day-to-day freight and facility issues, and steadily improve the way the operation works.

This is a good fit for someone who notices what is out of place, wants to understand why a problem happened, and would rather build a repeatable fix than keep working around it. The role can grow into broader inventory, process, and fulfillment leadership as trust and capability are demonstrated.

What you will own

• Open and reliably operate the Manchaca facility each workday.
• Pick, pack, and ship parcel and LTL orders accurately and on time.
• Prepare and verify BOLs, shipping labels, dimensions, weights, freight classifications, serial numbers, and related documents.
• Receive inventory, organize putaway, and reconcile physical items with packing and system records.
• Maintain accurate inventory transactions, bins, and locations in our ERP system.
• Investigate and document shortages, damage, returns, and freight exceptions through resolution.
• Keep saleable, repair, demonstration, and trade-show inventory identifiable, protected, and organized.
• Coordinate pickups, carrier communication, delivery follow-up, and occasional international-shipping documentation.
• Direct and coordinate the work of a part-time warehouse assistant.
• Build and improve simple, repeatable warehouse and shipping processes.
• Support container receiving, trade-show preparation, and future fulfillment improvements.

What we need

• Previous experience using an ERP, inventory, warehouse, or order-management system. NetSuite experience is helpful but not required.
• Hands-on experience in shipping, receiving, inventory control, warehouse operations, or a closely related role.
• Strong general computer skills and comfort learning new systems, using spreadsheets, and troubleshooting routine technology issues.
• Careful attention to quantities, serial numbers, dimensions, transaction records, and physical inventory.
• Dependability and the discipline to work independently in an onsite environment.
• Clear communication and the judgment to know when to act, when to document, and when to escalate.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds independently and move heavier equipment with proper equipment or team assistance.
• Forklift and LTL freight experience are preferred, not required.

Schedule and compensation

• Full-time, onsite in Manchaca, Texas.
• Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.; 40 expected hours per week.
• Occasional approved overtime may be needed for late freight pickups, container receipts, or trade-show deadlines.
• $20–$23 per hour, based on directly relevant experience.
• Formal 90-day performance and compensation review.
• Health insurance and paid major holidays.
