Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Receive, inspect, document, and process returned materials in the Sortly inventory management system, ensuring accurate records and proper storage.
  • Physically restock, organize, store, label, and track inventory—including special-order and project-specific materials and equipment—to maintain accurate stock levels, material availability, and warehouse safety and efficiency.
  • Maintain inventory management systems and records, including item updates, audits, reconciliations, and inventory controls to ensure accuracy between physical stock and system records.
  • Coordinate with Project Managers, carpenters, and field staff to ensure materials, tools, and supplies are available to support construction schedules and project needs.
  • Provide logistical support for field operations, including delivery of materials and transportation of equipment and project debris as needed.

PROCUREMENT AND VENDOR MANAGEMENT

  • Utilize bulk purchasing strategies to maintain adequate inventory levels of frequently used construction materials and personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Manage the procurement of stock and non-stock materials required for repair and construction projects, ensuring complete material packages are available for timely deployment to job sites.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for major supply vendors, developing and maintaining strong supplier relationships to secure competitive pricing, reliable service, and quality materials.
  • Coordinate material deliveries with vendors and suppliers and verify incoming shipments for accuracy and quality.
  • Identify opportunities to improve procurement practices, supplier performance, and operational efficiency.

WAREHOUSE, FLEET, AND ASSET MANAGEMENT

  • Maintain warehouses, storage, and workspaces to ensure they are organized, safe, and optimized for operational efficiency.
  • Oversee fleet operations, including scheduling routine maintenance, repairs, annual inspections, and registration renewals.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits and preventive maintenance of tools and equipment; manage asset lifecycles through the timely disposal, sale, or donation of obsolete items.
  • Collaborate with Build Team members to identify and procure tools and equipment required for construction and repair activities.
  • Engage, coordinate, and supervise volunteers to support warehouse operations, maintenance, and special projects.

Required Experience, Knowledge & Skills:
