Warehouse Asistant

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Warehouse Assistant to join the team at Carton Industries (Johore) Sdn Bhd. This is a full-time position based in Johor Bahru, Johor, and represents an excellent opportunity for someone looking to launch or develop a career in warehousing and logistics.

In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining the smooth and efficient operation of our warehouse facilities. You will work alongside our warehouse team to ensure that goods are properly received, stored, organised and dispatched in accordance with our strict standards and procedures. This position is fundamental to supporting our supply chain operations and contributing to the overall success of our organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Receiving, checking and logging incoming goods and materials, ensuring accuracy and completeness of all deliveries
• Organising and storing items in designated locations within the warehouse, following established inventory management systems
• Picking and packing items accurately for customer orders and shipments
• Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of warehouse areas, aisles and storage spaces to ensure safe working conditions
• Operating warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, trolleys and hand trucks safely and correctly
• Assisting with inventory counts and stock rotations to maintain accurate records
• Loading and unloading vehicles, ensuring goods are secured and transported safely
• Following health and safety procedures and contributing to a safe working environment for all staff members
• Supporting the warehouse team with general administrative tasks as required

What we're looking for

• Previous experience working in a warehouse, distribution centre or similar logistics environment is highly desirable
• Physical fitness and ability to perform manual tasks, including lifting, carrying and moving goods regularly
• Attention to detail and accuracy when handling, sorting and organising items
• Reliability and punctuality, with a strong commitment to meeting operational deadlines
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Basic mathematics skills for counting inventory and checking orders
• Willingness to follow instructions and adhere to health and safety protocols
• Good communication skills and a positive, professional attitude
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems or inventory control software is advantageous
