Warehouse Assistant

Key Job Responsibilities and Duties

• Inbound Material Management: Based on purchase orders or delivery notices, verify incoming goods (name, specifications, quantity, packaging labels, etc.). Process warehouse entry for qualified goods, and promptly report, isolate, and label non‑conforming items according to regulations.

• In‑Warehouse Management: Responsible for daily storage and maintenance of goods, ensuring storage conditions meet requirements (temperature, humidity, moisture‑proof, dust‑proof, etc.). Conduct regular inspections of inventory status, report abnormalities, and take corrective action. Implement fire, theft, rodent, and pest prevention measures in line with warehouse safety rules.

• Outbound Material Management: Pick and prepare goods strictly following the “First In, First Out” principle based on delivery or requisition orders. Coordinate with courier/logistics companies for collection. Verify outbound goods (name, specifications, quantity, labels) against documents, check packaging, and promptly update system records to ensure real‑time inventory accuracy.

• Inventory and Accounting Management: Record warehouse transactions accurately in ledgers or warehouse management systems (WMS/ERP) to ensure consistency between accounts, physical stock, and records. Collaborate with Finance on regular (monthly/annual) stocktaking. Assist in resolving inventory discrepancies, participate in analysis, and implement adjustment/improvement measures.

• Daily Operations and Safety: Safely and correctly operate and maintain warehouse equipment (barcode scanners, forklifts, stackers, etc.). Keep the warehouse clean and organized, ensuring a safe and smooth working environment. Comply with company and warehouse safety regulations, report potential hazards promptly. Carry out other tasks assigned by supervisors, such as assisting with loading/unloading, labeling, and packing.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Organizational Skills: Strong attention to detail for inventory accuracy.
• Minimum SPM or equivalent; a diploma in logistics, supply chain, or business administration is an advantage.
• Able to communicate effectively in Bahasa Malaysia and basic English, Chinese speaking is an advantage
