Warehouse Assistant

Weft Knitting Company Ltd is a privately owned, family-run business based in Christchurch. We are manufacturers of high-quality knitwear and thermalwear for domestic and international markets. With a focus on innovative, sustainable products, we serve the tourist, fashion, outdoor, and rural industries, specialising in Possum Merino, 100% Merino and Thermalwear.

The role is full-time (40 hours per week), Monday to Friday 7.30am – 4:00pm, and we can offer an immediate start.

Key Responsibilities:

This role will include a number of tasks:

• Picking, packing, scanning and dispatching orders
• Moving stock to assigned warehouse locations
• Assisting with regular cycle counts and stock takes
• Receiving, receipting and checking incoming orders
• General warehouse duties
• Examining garments
• Pressing garments

Skills & Experience:

• Ability to work as part of a team and be hands-on.
• Trade experience is preferable but not essential as in-house training will be given
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Great attitude and reliability
• Ability to work under pressure
