Warehouse Assistant

Job Summary

We are looking for a reliable and motivated Material Handler / Warehouse Assistant to support our day-to-day warehouse operations in the East and West area.

You will be involved in inbound and outbound activities, picking, stocktaking, cycle counts and material handling while ensuring warehouse safety, quality and operational standards are met.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily inbound, outbound and cycle count activities accurately and efficiently.
• Carry out picking, putaway, quality checks, stocktaking, photo-taking and truck loading.
• Conduct visual inspections of shipments and report any non-conformities or exceptions.
• Maintain accurate warehouse records, documentation and database information.
• Ensure proper stock management, material handling and documentation control.
• Support the Warehouse Supervisor in achieving operational KPIs.
• Follow all warehouse safety, quality and operating procedures.
• Maintain good 5S housekeeping standards within the warehouse.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives.
• Work closely with internal and external parties when required.
• Handle and lift goods weighing approximately 15–20 kg when necessary.
• Perform other warehouse-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum 1–2 years of relevant warehouse experience.
• Experience operating a Reach Truck.
• Good communication skills and able to work well in a team.
• Basic computer literacy; experience with a Warehouse Management System (WMS) is preferred.
• Forklift / Heavy Forklift licence will be an advantage.
• Candidates without a forklift licence who are willing to learn are welcome to apply; training/course can be provided.
• Able to perform physical warehouse duties when required.
• Responsible, safety-conscious and able to work independently.
