Warehouse Assistant

Responsibilities

• Perform tasks and duties assigned by the immediate supervisor.
• Record the receipt, storage, and dispatch of merchandise.
• Follow all cargo handling, packaging, and safety procedures and regulations.
• Inspect all cargo received at the warehouse and apply security tape prior to dispatch.
• Supervise the proper packaging and loading of cargo for shipment to its destination.
• Keep inventory records and systems updated, including Tracking Premium.
• Report any inventory or stock discrepancies.
• Manage shipping documentation, including shipping guides, invoices, manifests, and other related documents.
• Send reports of dispatched cargo to the appropriate individuals or companies.
• Keep the warehouse area clean, organized, and properly maintained.
• Organize, direct, and evaluate package pickup personnel assigned to delivery and collection routes.
• Ensure the proper use and care of equipment and vehicles assigned to the Operations Department.
• Prepare monthly reports as requested by the Warehouse Manager.

Position Requirements

• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Minimum of 1 year of previous experience in warehouses, storage facilities, or distribution centers.
• Experience with receiving, storage, picking, packing, pickups, shipping/dispatch, and inventory control.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel for inventory management.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $48,000.00 - $52,000.00 per year
