Warehouse assistant

We are seeking a hardworking and organized Warehouse Assistant to support daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and dispatching goods. The ideal candidate should be physically fit, attentive to detail, and able to maintain accurate stock records while ensuring the warehouse remains clean, safe, and well-organized.

Job Description

• Assist with receiving and unloading incoming goods and materials.
• Check delivered items against invoices, delivery notes, and purchase orders.
• Inspect goods for quantity, quality, damage, or discrepancies.
• Properly arrange and store items in designated warehouse locations.
• Assist with picking, packing, labeling, and preparing goods for dispatch.
• Support loading and unloading of goods while ensuring proper handling.
• Maintain accurate records of stock movements and warehouse activities.
• Participate in regular stock counts and physical inventory checks.
• Report damaged, missing, expired, or low-stock items to the Warehouse Officer or Supervisor.
• Ensure products are properly labeled and stored for easy identification and retrieval.
• Assist in maintaining FIFO/FEFO stock rotation where applicable.
• Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and free from safety hazards.
• Assist with moving goods and materials within the warehouse using appropriate equipment.
• Follow company procedures for inventory control, security, and loss prevention.
• Support other warehouse and logistics activities as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements/Skills

• Minimum of SSCE; OND or relevant technical qualification is an advantage.
• Proven years of experience in a warehouse, store, logistics, or inventory environment is preferred.
• Ability to lift, move, and arrange goods safely.
• Good numerical and record-keeping skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
• Good organizational and time-management skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Basic knowledge of inventory and warehouse procedures.
• Ability to use basic computer applications such as Microsoft Excel is an advantage.
• Physically fit, reliable, punctual, and hardworking.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Pay: ₦80,000.00 - ₦100,000.00 per month
