Warehouse Assistant

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Warehouse Assistant to join the team at Qian Hu Aquarium and Pets (M) Sdn Bhd. This is a full-time position based in Semenyih, Selangor, offering an excellent opportunity to become part of a dynamic warehouse and logistics operation within the aquarium and pet supplies industry.

As a Warehouse Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse facilities. Your primary focus will be on picking and packing items accurately and efficiently, contributing directly to our ability to deliver quality products to our customers on time. This hands-on role is essential to maintaining our high standards of service and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves according to customer orders and picking lists
• Pack products carefully using appropriate packaging materials to ensure items arrive in perfect condition
• Apply correct labelling and documentation to all packages for shipment
• Maintain organised and clean warehouse areas, following all health and safety guidelines
• Verify order accuracy before products leave the warehouse
• Assist with receiving and storing incoming inventory in designated locations
• Operate warehouse equipment such as trolleys, hand trucks and scanning devices safely and efficiently
• Support stock-taking and inventory management activities
• Report any damaged goods, discrepancies or safety concerns to supervisors promptly
• Collaborate with team members to meet daily picking and packing targets

What we're looking for

• Previous experience in a warehouse, picking and packing or similar logistics role is highly desirable
• Ability to read and understand picking lists, labels and documentation accurately
• Physical capability to perform repetitive tasks, lift and carry items regularly (typical weight up to 15-20 kg)
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accuracy in order fulfilment
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to work methodically and efficiently
• Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced warehouse environment
• Reliability and commitment to maintaining consistent attendance and punctuality
• Willingness to follow safety protocols and adhere to company policies
• Physical stamina and resilience to work on your feet for extended periods
