Warehouse Assistant

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Warehouse Assistant to join the team at Intercosmo Industries Sdn Bhd. This is a full-time position based in Balakong , Selangor. As a Warehouse Assistant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the efficiency and organisation of our warehouse operations. You will support the smooth flow of goods through our distribution centre , ensuring that products are stored, retrieved, and dispatched with accuracy and care. This role is essential to our logistics operations and directly impacts our ability to serve our customers effectively.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, issuing, and delivering raw materials, finished goods, packaging materials, and spare parts
• Plan, coordinate, and supervise Storekeepers' daily tasks, work schedules, training, and performance
• Organising and storing products in designated warehouse locations using appropriate storage systems
• Continuously review and optimize storage workflows, delivery arrangements, and inventory accuracy to cut costs and improve efficiency
• Maintaining accurate inventory records and assisting with stock counts and audits
• Coordinate with internal departments to ensure smooth operational execution
• Ensuring the warehouse remains clean, tidy and organised at all times
• Enforce company policies, safety requirements, code of conduct, and 5S practices within the facility
• Reporting any discrepancies, damage or issues to supervisors promptly

What we're looking for

• At least a Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a warehouse, distribution centre or similar field environment is preferred
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in recording and handling goods
• Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
• Good organisational and time management skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other office application
• Reliability and a strong work ethic with consistent attendance
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment
• Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions
