Warehouse Assistant

Material Resource Assistant is responsible for maintaining the inventory of materials, equipment and supplies. Ultimately, you will be supporting the clerical duties related to shipping, receiving, inspecting, storing, issuing and delivering of materials, equipment and supplies needed for production.

• Maintain inventory and equipment by identifying, labelling, and placing materials and supplies in warehouse and cross checking with inventory documentation.

• Locate materials and supplies by verifying materials and supplies listed in inventory warehouse.

• Coordinate and supervise the receiving and warehousing procedures.

• Control inventory levels and ensure availability of material.

• Check and handle the storage of materials, equipment and supplies.

• Receive, unload, store and dispatch materials in an orderly manner.

• Record all material transactions, ensure adequate record keeping, manage related documentation to confirm proper stock levels and maintain inventory control.

• Verify all goods received are in accordance with the agreed purchase, delivery note and agreed quantity.

• Verify that all materials are packed, bundled and strapped down well before transfer.

• Check and ensure that rejected materials are segregated and not to be used at site.

• Responsible for the day-to-day check on the storage facilities to ensure cleanliness and tidiness.

• Organize the inventory of materials, equipment and supplies according to the established policy, to comply with the standard safety, health and environmental guidelines.

• Assist in the procurement process by preparing and sending requests for quotation (RFQ) to vendors/suppliers, and compiling quotations received for review.

• Handle Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) for faulty materials/equipment, liaising with vendors/suppliers on claims, repair and warranty processes.

• Perform any other duties as assigned by the superior and/or the management.

JOB SPECIFICATION AND REQUIREMENTS

1.    ACADEMIC QUALIFICATION

·         Diploma in Logistics/Supply Chain Management or Diploma in Business Administration or other equivalent fields.

2.    PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATION/OTHER RELEVANT CERTIFICATION

·         Possess valid driving licence (D – compulsory) (GDL – preferable).

3.    WORKING EXPERIENCES

·         Fresh graduate or less than 1 year of working experience in logistic or warehouse inventory management or related field.

4.    KEY/TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES

·         Knowledge of site safety procedures.

·         Organised and attention to detail.

·         Good in both written and verbal communication skills.

·         Proficient in Microsoft Office (Words, Excel and PowerPoint).

·         Team player with great attitude.
