Warehouse Assistant – Casual with Pathway to Full-Time

About us

Pacvac is a Perth-based business that designs and supplies commercial cleaning equipment to customers in Australia and overseas. We're a team of around 40 based in Kewdale, and our warehouse is the heart of getting our products to customers.

The role

You'll be part of a small, hands-on warehouse team, where you'll:

• pick, pack and dispatch orders accurately and on time
• unload shipping containers and receive, check and put away incoming stock
• assemble machines, convert standard machines into different variants and carry out build modifications, such as fitting extra accessories or attachments
• rewire machines and swap components in and out as needed
• apply product labels and repackage spare parts to meet product and customer requirements
• keep the warehouse clean, safe and organised
• help with stocktakes and other tasks as needed

How the hours work

This role starts as a casual position at $47 per hour + super, working 4 days a week (7.6 hours a day, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday). From January we expect it to grow to full-time hours, Monday to Friday.

Our goal is to offer the right person a permanent full-time position at $74,500 + super, with paid annual, personal and wellbeing leave, once we've worked together for a few months. Hours depend on workload, and we'll keep you updated along the way.

About you

This is a hands-on, on-your-feet role. It suits someone who likes practical work and a steady routine. You'll need:

• a current forklift licence
• warehouse, production or similar hands-on experience
• to be comfortable with repetitive, routine-based work such as picking and packing, assembly and container unloading
• basic experience using hand tools
• to be comfortable standing for long periods, lifting products and doing manual handling
• strong attention to detail, with basic literacy and numeracy to identify products, follow instructions and check quality
• permanent, unrestricted working rights in Australia
