Warehouse Associate/ CARPENTER - Building Material

Overview

KK Building Supplies is a growing building-material supplier located in Howe, Texas. We supply doors, windows, mouldings, trims, flooring, siding, wall panels, and other building materials to contractors, builders, remodelers, and homeowners.

We are looking for a dependable and experienced Warehouse Associate with a carpentry background. The ideal candidate must be hands-on, understand building materials, and have experience working with doors, mouldings, warehouse equipment, and material handling.

Responsibilities

* Receive, load, unload, and organize building materials.

* Properly handle and arrange doors, mouldings, trims, and other building products to prevent damage.

* Build and assemble prehung doors, including installing jambs and preparing doors for customers.

* Perform basic carpentry, cutting, measuring, and assembly work as required.

* Operate a forklift safely and efficiently for loading, unloading, and moving materials.

* Assist customers and delivery drivers with loading and unloading orders.

* Pick and prepare customer orders accurately.

* Assist with assembling and installing warehouse pallet racks and storage systems.

* Organize inventory and maintain proper product placement in the warehouse.

* Inspect incoming and outgoing materials for damage.

* Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse.

* Follow proper safety procedures when handling heavy or oversized building materials.

* Work with showroom and sales staff to make sure customer orders are prepared correctly.

Qualifications

* Carpentry or construction background is required.

* Must know how to assemble/prehang doors.

* Experience handling doors, mouldings, trims, and building materials.

* Must have forklift operating experience.

* Experience assembling or installing warehouse racks is strongly preferred.

* Must know how to use basic carpentry and power tools safely.

* Must be able to read measurements and use a tape measure accurately.

* Must be physically capable of lifting, carrying, and handling heavy building materials safely.

* Must be dependable, punctual, and willing to work as part of a team.

* Building-material warehouse experience is strongly preferred.
