Warehouse Associate – Chop & Join Division Company: A-3 Ventures LLC Location: Orlando, Florida Department: Chop & Join / Production Position Type: Full-Time Start Date: Immediate Schedule: Evening and Night Shifts Available Evening Shift Starting Pay: $15.25 per hour Night Shift: Night-shift differential applies Position Summary A-3 Ventures LLC is seeking dependable and detail-oriented Warehouse Associates for our Chop & Join Division to join our production team immediately. The Chop & Join Division is responsible for the production and assembly of frames, floaters, and related framing components. This position involves accurately measuring and cutting framing materials, operating saws, joiners, and other production equipment, assembling finished frames, and inspecting completed products for quality and accuracy. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with measurements, understands the importance of precise cuts and angles, and has experience using saws, cutting equipment, woodworking tools, framing equipment, or similar production machinery. Essential Duties & Responsibilities - Measure framing materials accurately according to production specifications and work orders. - Cut frame and floater materials to required dimensions using production saws and cutting equipment. - Operate saws, joiners, cutting machines, pneumatic tools, and other Chop & Join equipment safely and correctly. - Assemble frames and floaters according to established production specifications. - Join frame corners accurately and ensure proper alignment and fit. - Read and understand measurements, dimensions, production instructions, and work orders. - Perform accurate cuts, including angled and miter cuts, when required. - Inspect materials before production for damage, defects, or incorrect dimensions. - Inspect completed frames for proper measurements, alignment, corner quality, stability, and overall appearance. - Identify incorrect cuts, damaged materials, or quality issues and report them to the appropriate supervisor or lead. - Maintain production speed while meeting established quality standards. - Minimize material waste by measuring carefully and following proper cutting procedures. - Follow established machine operating procedures and all required safety practices. - Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation. - Assist with material handling, staging, and movement of production materials as needed. - Work cooperatively with other Chop & Join associates, production departments, supervisors, and leads to meet daily production goals. - Perform other warehouse and production duties as assigned based on operational needs. Required Skills & Qualifications Candidates should have: - Strong understanding of basic measurements and dimensions. - Ability to accurately use a tape measure. - Ability to work with fractions commonly used in measurements, such as 1/2, 1/4, 1/8, and 1/16 inch. - Ability to perform accurate cuts based on specified dimensions. - Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with production machinery and hand tools. - Ability to follow work orders and production specifications. - Strong attention to detail and quality. - Ability to recognize incorrect measurements, cuts, angles, or frame assembly. - Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment. - Ability to follow machine-safety procedures and supervisor instructions. - Dependable attendance and punctuality. - Ability to work independently as well as part of a production team. Preferred Experience Previous experience in one or more of the following is strongly preferred: - Picture-frame or custom-frame manufacturing - Chop & Join operations - Carpentry or woodworking - Miter saw operation - Production saws or cutting equipment - Frame or furniture assembly - Cabinet manufacturing - CNC or related production machinery - Manufacturing or warehouse production - Construction or other trades involving precise measurements and cutting Candidates with strong measurement and cutting skills from related industries are encouraged to apply even if they have not previously worked specifically in frame manufacturing. Physical Requirements This is an active production position. Employees must be able to: - Stand and work for extended periods. - Frequently use hands and arms to handle materials, tools, and equipment. - Bend, reach, push, pull, and perform repetitive production movements. - Safely handle framing materials and finished products. - Lift and move materials consistent with the requirements of the position, with assistance when appropriate. - Work around saws, machinery, production equipment, noise, and moving materials. - Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE). Schedule & Compensation Evening Shift: Starting at $16.25 per hour Night Shift: Night-shift positions receive an additional shift differential. Full-time schedules are available. Candidates must be dependable and able to report consistently for their assigned shift. Overtime and/or weekend availability may be required based on production demand.
