What they need

Job Overview

The Warehouse Associate supports the day-to-day operation of Brickyard Brands' warehouse and distribution operation.

This is a hands-on position responsible for receiving product, putting inventory away, picking and staging orders, maintaining warehouse organization, completing inventory counts, and helping ensure drivers leave with accurate and properly staged orders.

The Warehouse Associate reports directly to the Warehouse Manager and works from the systems, layouts, par levels, and procedures established by warehouse management.

Duties

  • Operate warehouse equipment such as reach trucks and pallet jacks to load, unload, and move inventory safely and efficiently
  • Use warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory management software to track stock levels, update records, and ensure data accuracy
  • Pick and pack orders with precision
  • Maintain organized stock storage through stocking, inventory management, and regular cycle counts to prevent discrepancies
  • Assist with inbound shipments by inspecting received goods for quality and accuracy while documenting
  • Support warehouse distribution activities by ensuring compliance with regulations, order fulfillment standards, and safety protocols

Receiving & Put-Away

  • Receive incoming product and compare deliveries against expected quantities.
  • Inspect incoming product for visible damage or issues.
  • Verify quantities and report discrepancies to the Warehouse Manager.
  • Label pallets/product as required.
  • Put product away in its assigned warehouse location.
  • Follow established FIFO/FEFO rotation procedures where applicable.

Picking & Staging

  • Pick orders accurately according to the daily work plan.
  • Stage completed orders in designated route/staging areas.
  • Keep refrigerated, frozen, and ambient products in their proper storage areas.
  • Identify shortages, picking discrepancies, or damaged product before orders leave the warehouse.
  • Keep staging areas organized and ready for driver loading.

Inventory

  • Complete assigned cycle counts.
  • Support the standard that all warehouse inventory is counted each week.
  • Report discrepancies rather than making unapproved inventory adjustments.
  • Monitor posted par levels and flag low inventory.
  • Help maintain accurate product locations and warehouse organization.

Warehouse Standards

  • Maintain the established warehouse planogram.
  • Return product, pallets, equipment, and supplies to designated locations.
  • Keep aisles, picking areas, loading areas, coolers/freezers, and workspaces clean.
  • Complete routine warehouse cleaning and housekeeping.
  • Follow warehouse safety procedures and report hazards or equipment issues.

Driver & Vehicle Support

  • Support driver check-in and route preparation.
  • Help resolve missing product or staging issues before departure.
  • Complete assigned daily vehicle checks.
  • Confirm vehicles are returned according to EOD standards, including:
  • Fuel
  • Cab/cargo trash
  • Equipment/batteries returned and charging
  • Damage or maintenance issues reported
  • Inspect incoming product for visible damage or issues.
  • Verify quantities and report discrepancies to the Warehouse Manager.
  • Label pallets/product as required.
  • Put product away in its assigned warehouse location.
  • Follow established FIFO/FEFO rotation procedures where applicable

Success in this role means:

  • Orders are picked accurately and staged on time.
  • Incoming product is received, checked and put away correctly.
  • Inventory counts are completed every week.
  • Inventory discrepancies and low-stock conditions are identified quickly.
  • Product stays in its assigned warehouse location.
  • The warehouse remains clean, organized and safe.
  • Drivers have what they need when they arrive for their routes.
  • Problems are communicated to the Warehouse Manager instead of being allowed to carry into the next day.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
