Warehouse Associate (Materials Specialist)

Location: Golden Meadow, LA 70357
Pay Rate: $20–$30/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

Position Summary

The Materials Specialist is responsible for supporting warehouse and inventory activities while maintaining accuracy, safety, and efficiency. The role includes receiving, storing, picking, packing, issuing, and counting dry and liquid materials, as well as maintaining accurate inventory records.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform weekly to bi-weekly physical and cycle counts across assigned facilities.
• Pick and pack dry and liquid materials accurately.
• Verify customer orders are complete and correctly filled.
• Receive, store, issue, and transfer materials.
• Manage goods reception, picking, packing, issuance, and stock transfers.
• Maintain a live Excel tracking file showing available products.
• Ensure accurate inventory transactions in the Warehouse Management System.
• Maintain proper product labeling and documentation.
• Investigate inventory discrepancies and support root-cause analysis.
• Monitor and help reduce excess, aging, and slow-moving inventory.
• Support internal material transfers through completion while maintaining quality controls.
• Participate in warehouse audits and self-assessments.
• Apply Lean/5S practices to improve warehouse efficiency and reduce waste.
• Support kitting, Kanban, and other inventory management improvements as applicable.
• Follow all company safety procedures and warehouse standards.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work with inventory, warehouse records, and Excel.
• Ability to safely handle and move materials.
• Good organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to follow established procedures and safety requirements.
• Willingness to learn warehouse management and inventory processes.

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
