WAREHOUSE ASSOCIATE

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and organised Warehouse Associate to join the team at JIANGSU INSTALLATION SDN BHD in Penang. This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in our warehousing, storage and distribution operations. As a Warehouse Associate, you will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of goods through our facility, contributing directly to our operational excellence and customer satisfaction. This role offers the opportunity to work within a dynamic logistics environment where attention to detail and reliability are highly valued.

What you'll be doing

• Receiving, processing and documenting incoming shipments and goods
• Accurately picking and packing items according to customer orders and warehouse procedures
• Organising and storing inventory in designated locations using proper labelling and tracking systems
• Conducting regular stock counts and maintaining accurate inventory records
• Loading and unloading goods from delivery vehicles safely and efficiently
• Operating warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts (if certified) and scanning systems
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised warehouse environment in compliance with health and safety standards
• Assisting with order fulfillment and shipment preparation
• Reporting discrepancies or damaged goods to management promptly
• Collaborating with team members to meet daily targets and deadlines

What we're looking for

• Previous experience working in a warehouse or logistics environment (minimum 1-2 years preferred)
• Proficiency in using warehouse management systems and basic computer literacy
• Strong organisational and time management skills with attention to detail
• Physical capability to perform manual handling and lifting of goods
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to follow instructions and adhere to health and safety procedures
• Reliability and punctuality with a strong work ethic
• Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification is an advantage
• Knowledge of inventory management best practices
• Adaptability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment
