Warehouse Associate

Queens, NY metals distributor seeking an energetic professional full-time warehouse employee.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with warehouse supervisor to ensure efficient operations
• Picking and packing product for customer shipment while adhering to OSHA safety guidelines.
• Unpacking product for storage and stocking
• Safely operate a forklift and hand tools such as a saw or nail gun
• Perform inventory control activities, including cycle counts and reconciliations
• Maintaining a clean and organized work environment
• Assist in the fabrication of products as needed
• Building and equipment maintenance as required

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution center preferred
• Ability to lift heavy objects up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks throughout the shift
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems
• Knowledge of inventory control principles and practices
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order picking and packing
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Standard working hours Monday to Friday on site in Long Island City, NY. Hourly wage staring at $20.76 /hour and includes medical and other benefits.
