Warehouse Automated Director

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Automation Director to lead the development, implementation, and operational performance of automated warehouse and distribution center solutions. The role will oversee the strategy, design, implementation, integration, commissioning, and optimization of automated warehouse operations, ensuring high levels of productivity, accuracy, reliability, safety, and cost efficiency. The successful candidate will work across Operations, Engineering, IT, Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance, and external technology partners to deliver scalable automation solutions that support business growth and operational requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the overall warehouse automation strategy in alignment with business and supply chain objectives
• Assess warehouse processes and identify opportunities for automation, mechanization, and digital transformation
• Develop long-term automation roadmaps covering technology, capacity, infrastructure, systems, and investment requirements
• Evaluate automation solutions based on capacity, productivity, scalability, reliability, flexibility, and total cost of ownership
• Establish standards and best practices for automated warehouse operations
• Provide overall leadership for automated warehouse and distribution center operations
• Ensure warehouse processes achieve required standards for throughput, accuracy, inventory integrity, order fulfillment, and service levels
• Optimize the performance of automated equipment, material flow, storage systems, and warehouse processes
• Monitor operational KPIs and implement corrective actions where required
• Ensure effective coordination between automated and manual warehouse processes
