Warehouse Despatch Operative

About the Role

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Despatch Operative to join our busy warehouse team. This role is essential in ensuring customer orders are picked, packed, and despatched accurately and on time.

The successful candidate will be highly organised, able to think quickly in a fast-paced environment, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team. Previous warehouse experience and a valid Forklift Truck (FLT) licence are essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Picking, packing, and preparing orders for despatch. Wrapping, strapping and ensuring pallets are sent out correctly.
• Loading and unloading deliveries using a forklift truck, adhoc as and when needed.
• Ensuring all orders are checked for accuracy before despatch
• Complete goods inwards process and liaise with PL.
• Liaise with QC re: samples for testing/approved Raw materials received in.
• Maintaining an organised, safe, and tidy warehouse environment.
• Managing workload effectively to meet daily deadlines.
• Assisting with stock movement and general warehouse duties.
• Following company procedures and health & safety regulations.
• Working collaboratively with colleagues while also being able to manage tasks independently.

Requirements

• Valid Forklift Truck (FLT) licence.
• Previous warehouse experience.
• Excellent punctuality and attendance.
• Good time management and the ability to work efficiently.
• Quick-thinking and able to adapt to changing priorities.
• Computer literate
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Hardworking, dependable, and proactive.
• Ability to work well within a team and on your own initiative.

Pay: £13.00-£13.75 per hour

Expected hours: 42.5 per week
