Overview

We are seeking a skilled Warehouse Forklift Driver to join our dynamic logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for efficiently handling materials, operating forklift equipment safely, and supporting warehouse management activities. Duties

• Operate forklift and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently to load, unload, and move goods within the facility
• Manage materials handling tasks, including stacking, organising, and storing products in designated areas
• Assist with shipping and receiving processes, ensuring accurate documentation and timely dispatch of goods
• Conduct basic repairs and maintenance on equipment as needed to ensure operational safety and efficiency
• Utilise warehouse management systems to track inventory movements and update records accurately
• Support the organisation of stock levels, conducting regular stock checks and audits
• Assist with general warehouse duties such as cleaning work areas and preparing goods for shipment or storage
• Collaborate with team members to optimise workflow and maintain a safe working environment

Qualifications

• Proven experience operating forklift trucks within a warehouse setting
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is highly desirable
• Mechanical knowledge or experience with equipment repair is advantageous
• Strong understanding of materials handling procedures, shipping, and receiving protocols
• Ability to perform basic maths calculations for inventory counts and measurements
• Physical capability for heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing or walking within the warehouse environment
• Good organisational skills with attention to detail
• Basic literacy skills for documentation purposes
• Valid forklift licence or certification is essential

Pay: £27,000.00-£29,000.00 per year
