Warehouse / Forklift Operator

Warehouse Associate, Sit-Down Forklift Operator

You are the kind of person who notices what others miss, takes ownership without being asked, and leaves every shift knowing the work was done right. Tropic Supply was built by people like you, and we need one more.

Full-Time | Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM | Sunrise, FL | Tropic Supply, Inc.

This is a hands-on, physical role inside one of Florida's largest independent HVAC and refrigeration distribution operations. You are not just moving product. You are the reason 23 locations and the contractors who depend on them keep running without interruption.

Why Tropic Supply

We have been family-owned and operated for more than 53 years. That kind of longevity does not happen by accident. It happens because we take care of the people who take care of us, our customers and our team alike, and we are looking for someone who wants to be part of a team that stays.

What You Will Own

• Load and unload trucks and trailers, positioning and securing pallets safely
• Pull and fill orders with precision, then stage and wrap them for shipment
• Receive and stock incoming inventory, and complete basic shipping and receiving documentation
• Verify parts, serial numbers, and paperwork against physical inventory at every step
• Support cycle counts and inventory audits
• Operate a sit-down forklift, pallet jacks, and hand trucks, including required pre-shift equipment checks
• Assist counter sales with order fulfillment and help customers load product
• Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and running to standard

Attention to detail is not optional here. Errors in a distribution environment do not stay contained. They travel downstream to contractors, technicians, and the customers we all serve.

Who Fits This Role

• Follows process correctly and asks when unsure, rather than guessing
• Takes pride in physical work done right, not just done fast
• Treats a wrong pull or a missed serial number as a problem worth catching, not something to shrug off
• Shows up ready, stays accountable, and can be counted on without being told twice

What You Must Bring

• Hands-on experience operating a sit-down forklift, required. This is not a trainable requirement.
• Demonstrated warehouse experience in a distribution, supply, or logistics environment
• Working knowledge of RF scanning equipment, warehouse management systems, and basic computer operations
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds consistently throughout a shift and sustain physical activity in a non-climate-controlled environment
• Strong attention to detail with a track record of order and inventory accuracy
• Clear communication and a reliable work ethic that does not require constant supervision

What Tropic Supply Offers

• Company-paid employee medical and life insurance
• Optional dental and vision coverage
• Voluntary short-term and long-term disability
• 401(k) with company match
• Paid time off
• Employee discount programs
• A stable, long-standing company where performance is recognized and tenure is respected
