VACANCY: WAREHOUSE GENERAL WORKER / DELIVERY DRIVER

Veltrio Auto Glass is looking for a reliable, hardworking and responsible Warehouse General Worker to join our team.

The successful candidate will primarily assist with general warehouse duties and will also be required to perform deliveries and collections when needed.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIESWarehouse Duties

• Receive, check and assist with the offloading of incoming stock.
• Pack, unpack, organise and store stock in the correct designated areas.
• Pick and prepare stock for customer orders, fitment jobs and deliveries.
• Assist with loading and unloading company vehicles.
• Handle automotive glass and other stock carefully to prevent breakages and damage.
• Assist with stock counts and general stock control when required.
• Report damaged, missing or incorrectly supplied stock to the relevant Team Leader or Manager.
• Maintain an orderly and organised warehouse.
• Keep warehouse floors, loading areas and workspaces clean and safe.
• Assist with moving and arranging stock as operationally required.
• Follow all company health and safety procedures.
• Follow instructions issued by the Warehouse Team Leader, Management or other authorised supervisors.

Deliveries & Collections

• Carry out customer and supplier deliveries and collections when required.
• Load and secure stock correctly before travelling.
• Ensure that goods being delivered correspond with the relevant invoice, delivery note or collection documentation.
• Obtain the required signatures or proof of delivery.
• Handle company vehicles responsibly and in accordance with company policies.
• Conduct basic vehicle checks before use and report any defects immediately.
• Keep the vehicle clean and presentable.
• Comply with all road traffic laws and company driving requirements.
• Immediately report accidents, damage, traffic fines or other incidents involving a company vehicle.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Valid South African driver's licence.
• Previous warehouse, general worker, stores or delivery experience will be advantageous.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting and carrying stock.
• Must be able to follow instructions accurately.
• Good understanding of workplace safety.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Must take care when handling fragile and high-value stock.
• Good attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a busy warehouse environment.

WORKING HOURS

The position will operate according to the Company's applicable shift roster and operational requirements, which may include:

Monday to Friday: 08:00/08:30 to 16:30/17:00
Saturday: 08:00 to 13:00

Applicants must be available to work Saturdays and reasonable additional hours where operationally required.
