JOB DESCRIPTION – WAREHOUSE HELPER

Job Title: Warehouse Helper – Loading, Unloading & Housekeeping

Department: Warehouse / Store Operations

Reporting To: Warehouse Manager / Store In-Charge

Location: UAQ, UAE

1. Job Purpose

To support daily warehouse operations by handling loading and unloading of materials, arranging and storing stock in designated locations, maintaining warehouse cleanliness, and assisting the warehouse team in ensuring safe, efficient, and organized store operations.

2. Key Responsibilities

A. Loading and Unloading

Load and unload materials, tiles, sanitary ware, bathroom accessories, and other building materials from containers and delivery vehicles.

Handle materials carefully to prevent breakage, scratches, damage, and loss.

Assist drivers with loading and unloading materials for customer and project deliveries.

Check material quantities, packaging, and visible condition during loading and unloading.

Report any damaged, missing, or incorrect materials immediately to the Warehouse Manager.

Arrange materials safely on pallets and secure goods properly for transportation.

Follow safe manual-handling procedures and use the required protective equipment.

B. Stock Arrangement and Warehouse Support

Arrange materials in their designated storage locations as instructed by the Warehouse Manager.

Assist in stacking, palletizing, shifting, and organizing stock.

Support stock counting and physical inventory verification.

Assist with receiving, sorting, picking, packing, and dispatching materials.

Keep aisles, loading areas, and emergency exits clear.

Follow instructions for separating good stock, damaged materials, returns, and rejected goods.

Assist with internal stock transfers and showroom or site material movements.

C. Store Cleaning and Housekeeping

Clean the warehouse floor, loading and unloading areas, and designated storage spaces daily.

Remove dust, packaging waste, cardboard, plastic, and other unwanted materials.

Keep stock racks, pallets, work areas, and walkways clean and organized.

Collect and dispose of waste in designated areas.

Maintain cleanliness around the warehouse entrance and delivery vehicle parking area.

Report unsafe conditions, water leakage, damaged pallets, and other hazards.

Ensure the warehouse remains clean and ready for daily operations.

D. Safety and Discipline

Follow warehouse safety procedures and instructions from the Warehouse Manager.

Wear safety shoes, gloves, and other required personal protective equipment.

Handle heavy and fragile materials using proper lifting techniques and assistance when required.

Do not operate forklifts or other machinery without proper authorization and training.

Report accidents, injuries, near misses, and unsafe conditions immediately.

Maintain punctuality, discipline, teamwork, and a responsible attitude.

3. Daily Work Requirements

Complete assigned loading and unloading activities.

Assist with material picking, packing, and stock arrangement.

Maintain cleanliness throughout the warehouse and loading areas.

Support daily stock checks and dispatch preparation.

Follow all instructions issued by the Warehouse Manager / Store In-Charge.

4. Required Skills and Qualifications

Previous warehouse or loading/unloading experience is preferred.

Ability to handle heavy and fragile materials safely.

Physically fit for warehouse duties and manual material handling.

Basic understanding of warehouse housekeeping and safety procedures.

Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.

Honest, punctual, disciplined, and responsible.

5. Performance Standards

Materials handled without avoidable damage.

Loading and unloading completed accurately and on time.

Warehouse and storage areas maintained in a clean and organized condition.

Stock arranged in designated locations.

Safety procedures followed at all times.

Note: The employee must perform other reasonable warehouse-related duties assigned by the Warehouse Manager / Store In-Charge.

Pay: AED1,200.00 - AED1,500.00 per month
