About the role
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you'll lead the day-to-day running of the Hallam warehouse and a team of two storepersons, two casuals and a driver. Around 60% of the role is planning and coordination, and 40% is hands-on on the warehouse floor.
 
Your responsibilities will include:

• Planning and scheduling dispatches and customer delivery runs to meet lead times, as cost-effectively as possible
• Overseeing goods receiving and dispatch, checking deliveries against paperwork
• Booking couriers and freight, and managing consignment notes and delivery dockets
• Leading and supporting the warehouse team to work accurately, efficiently and safely
• Hands-on picking, packing, pallet wrapping and forklift work, including unloading containers and trucks
• Keeping stock accurate and well organised, and supporting regular stocktakes
• Making sure orders are processed accurately and dispatched on time
• Keeping the warehouse safe, clean and well run

About you

• 2-3+ years' warehouse experience, ideally including leading or supervising a team
• A current orklift licence (LF), with reach forklift experience
• Experience with freight and courier bookings and planning delivery runs
• Confident with computers: Microsoft 365, basic Excel and CRM or order systems
• Organised, accurate and a clear communicator
• A "no job too big or too small" attitude, with a strong work ethic and a flexible approach
• A current car licence, with the ability to drive a manual vehicle
• An LR truck licence is a bonus, but not essential
