About Our Client Our client operates a retail distribution warehouse . The Role: Warehouse Manager The purpose of this role is to manage the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of a wide range of goods while ensuring the warehouse is compliant with company standards, policies, and procedures . The role focuses on strategic route planning, inventory control, space optimization, meeting logistics KPIs, and driving staff performance through WMS functions and productivity management tools . It requires a hands-on, high-energy individual who delivers results through people and remains on call for emergencies . Key Responsibilities Bring a minimum of 5 years of Warehouse Manager experience to manage daily operations . Manage the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods while maximizing space usage and setting up efficient layouts . Plan delivery routes strategically to ensure operational efficiency and cost savings . Track quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, and complete weekly cycle counts and inventory loss investigations . Supervise, coach, and train the warehouse team while maintaining attendance records, clocking reports, and overtime approvals . Meet cost, productivity, accuracy, and deadline targets set out in logistics KPIs . Ensure compliance with company standards, procedures, and Health, Safety, and Environmental standards . Complete daily, weekly, and monthly reports and statistics for management . About You Minimum of 5 years of Warehouse Manager experience . Matric qualification . Valid driver''s licence and own reliable transport . Proven ability to manage inventory, people, processes, systems, WMS functions, and productivity management tools . Strong professional skills in process improvement, management reporting, policy interpretation, and risk mitigation . High energy, hands-on approach, strong character, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment . Tertiary qualification relating to Logistics, Warehouse, or Distribution is advantageous .
