Warehouse Manager

Key Responsibilities

You’ll be responsible for the day-to-day performance of the Christchurch warehouse, ensuring the operation runs safely, efficiently, accurately, and on time.

• Lead warehouse operations across inwards goods, picking, dispatch, and delivery
• Manage container arrivals and ensure MPI requirements are met
• Maintain strong stock accuracy through effective inventory control and stocktakes
• Manage freight performance and maintain strong relationships with carriers and transport partners
• Reduce damages and stock loss, and manage freight and damage claims
• Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing warehouse team
• Maintain high standards across picking, packing, dispatch, and invoicing
• Improve delivery channels and customer collection processes
• Oversee fleet, forklifts, warehouse equipment, and maintenance
• Work closely with other teams and external partners to keep operations running smoothly
• Deliver against operational KPIs and identify opportunities to improve productivity and performance
• Maintain a safe, organised, and efficient warehouse environment

About You

You’re a practical, hands-on leader who leads from the front and sets high standards. You know how to get the best out of your team while keeping a busy operation running smoothly, safely, and efficiently.

• Proven experience leading a warehouse in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Strong people leadership skills with the ability to delegate, prioritise, coach, and drive performance
• Flexibility to work weekends when required
• Solid understanding of Chain of Responsibility requirements
• High attention to detail with a practical, solutions-focused mindset
• Strong commitment to Health and Safety and high operational standards
• Clear and confident communicator with a customer-focused approach
• Comfortable using warehouse systems, technology, and reporting tools
• Proactive and improvement-focused, always looking for better ways of working
• Reliable, accountable, and driven to deliver results
• Must be legally entitled to work in New Zealand
• Current forklift licence
