Warehouse Manager

About the Role:

The Warehouse Manager plays a critical role in overseeing and optimizing all warehouse operations to ensure efficient, accurate, and timely processing of goods. This position is responsible for managing the flow of inventory from receiving through shipping, including international shipments, while maintaining strict adherence to safety and quality standards. The Warehouse Manager leads a team to execute order picking, inventory control, and distribution center activities, ensuring that customer demands and supply chain requirements are met consistently. By leveraging Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and other technologies, the manager drives continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational productivity and reduce costs. Ultimately, this role ensures that the warehouse functions as a seamless and integral part of the broader supply chain operations within the organization. They will be repairing and maintaining equipment as assigned by management, to include truck mounts, air movers, dehumidifiers, air scrubbers, generator, etc. It may also include assisting in management of the fleet to organize or handle oil changes and inspections of the vehicles. They will answer to Shannon Perez, who will be working with other management team members.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Proven experience in warehouse operations and management, preferably within a distribution center environment.
• Strong knowledge of shipping and receiving processes, including international shipping regulations.
• Proficiency in using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory control software.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team effectively.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Experience with advanced supply chain operations and distribution center management.
• Familiarity with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies to drive process improvements.
• Certifications related to logistics or warehouse management (e.g., APICS, CSCMP).
• Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume warehouse environment.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily warehouse operations including shipping, receiving, order picking, and inventory management to meet company and customer requirements.
• Manage and coordinate international shipping processes, ensuring compliance with customs regulations and timely delivery.
• Utilize Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to monitor inventory levels, track shipments, and optimize storage and retrieval processes.
• Lead, train, and develop warehouse staff to maintain high performance, safety standards, and operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with supply chain, logistics, and distribution teams to streamline workflows and improve overall distribution center productivity.

Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) enables the manager to track inventory in real-time, optimize order picking routes, and maintain precise stock levels. Knowledge of international shipping is essential for coordinating cross-border logistics and ensuring compliance with customs regulations. Leadership and team management skills are critical for motivating staff, enforcing safety protocols, and maintaining high productivity standards. Additionally, understanding supply chain operations and distribution center dynamics allows the manager to collaborate effectively with other departments to enhance overall operational efficiency.
