Warehouse Manager

*Position: Warehouse & Distribution Manager*

*Location: DR Congo, Africa*

*Job Summary*

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Warehouse & Distribution Manager to lead warehouse operations, inventory management, fleet activities, and distribution functions across the Democratic Republic of Congo. The role is responsible for ensuring efficient, cost-effective, and reliable warehouse and distribution operations while maintaining high standards of customer service, inventory accuracy, safety, and operational compliance.

Fluency in French (Mandatory)

Lingala language skills will be an added advantage

*Key Responsibilities*

*Warehouse Operations*

Manage day-to-day warehouse activities including receiving, storage, inventory control, order processing, and dispatch operations.

Ensure efficient utilization of warehouse space, manpower, and resources.

Maintain high standards of warehouse safety, housekeeping, and operational compliance.

Implement and monitor warehouse procedures, policies, and performance metrics.

*Inventory Management*

Ensure inventory accuracy through regular stock counts, reconciliations, and control procedures.

Monitor stock movements and maintain optimal inventory levels.

Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.

Ensure proper documentation and reporting of inventory transactions.

*Distribution & Transportation Management*

Plan, coordinate, and monitor distribution activities to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.

Manage fleet operations, vehicle utilization, maintenance schedules, and transportation efficiency.

Supervise drivers and transportation teams to ensure compliance with company policies and safety standards.

Optimize delivery routes and transportation costs while maintaining service quality.

Ensure customer deliveries are completed within targeted timelines of 2448 hours.

*Team Leadership*

Lead, coach, and develop warehouse, logistics, and transportation teams.

Establish performance objectives and monitor team productivity.

Promote a culture of accountability, safety, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.

Conduct regular performance reviews and identify training requirements.

*Risk Management & Continuous Improvement*

Identify operational risks and implement preventive and corrective measures.

Develop contingency plans to minimize disruptions in warehouse and distribution activities.

Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, service levels, and cost efficiency.

Analyze operational KPIs and prepare management reports with actionable recommendations.

*Customer Service*

Ensure consistent and reliable service delivery to customers.

Address customer concerns related to deliveries, inventory, and distribution operations.

Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to improve customer satisfaction.

*Qualifications*

Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering, Operations Management, Manufacturing, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

25 years of experience in warehouse management, distribution management, logistics operations, or supply chain management.

Experience managing warehouse operations, transportation activities, inventory control, and distribution networks.

Experience within FMCG, beverage, retail distribution, manufacturing, logistics, or 3PL environments will be preferred.
