Warehouse Manager

Role & responsibilities

Inventory Management

• Verify deliveries against purchase orders, packing lists, or return documentation
• Inspect goods for any damage or discrepancies and report issues promptly
• Label and tag incoming items appropriately for tracking and storage
• Maintain an accurate and uptodate inventory of all event equipment, tools, and consumables
• Perform routine inventory checks, audits, and reconciliations
• Track equipment usage, maintenance schedules, and asset lifecycle
• Use inventory management software or tools to record all stock movements
• Flag lowstock or damaged items for procurement or repair

Packing & Dispatch

• Receive and unload incoming materials, equipment, and supplies from suppliers or after events
• Prepare equipment and materials according to eventspecific checklists and timelines
• Coordinate the return of rented or outsourced equipment in a timely manner
• Ensure proper handling, wrapping, and packing of delicate or technical equipment (e.g., AV, lighting, trussing)
• Coordinate with production teams to ensure all required gear is dispatched as per specifications
• Generate dispatch notes, load lists, and manifests for every event shipment.
• Safely load equipment onto trucks or delivery vehicles, securing items to prevent damage in transit

Logistics

• Plan and coordinate transportation for event equipment, ensuring timely delivery and pickup.
• Work closely with logistics partners, drivers, and internal teams to schedule routes and optimize delivery timelines.
• Track shipments and proactively manage delays, route changes, or delivery issues.
• Maintain accurate records of all logistical activities, including fuel logs, mileage, and delivery confirmations.
• Arrange permits or documentation if required for oversized or international shipments.

Warehouse Management

• Ensure the warehouse is clean, organized, and compliant with health & safety standards
• Design and maintain an efficient storage layout for quick access to frequently used items.
• Implement systems for equipment labeling, shelving, and return processing.
• Supervise loading/unloading activities and enforce safety procedures.
• Manage waste disposal, recycling, and environmentally responsible storage practices.
• Keep track of the outsourced team members who are deployed for warehouse work

Team Management

• Identify the team members required to execute the Warehouse & Logistics plan of the company
• Participate in selection interviews to select the right candidates for the team
• Orient and train new joiners in the department
• Monitor activities of the team to ensure all SOPs are implemented correctly and work is executed as per schedule
• Train and counsel team members to ensure they perform efficiently
• Evaluate team performance
• Sanction leaves/extra working of team members
• Maintain a positive environment in the team and ensure that all team members bond well as a team
• Motivate team members and encourage them to learn new things
• Act as the spokesperson of the team
• Coordinate with HR for any employee development initiatives
• Suggest newer initiatives to HR for team development

Job Summary:
