About the role

We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to join MASTEC in Edinburgh on a full-time basis. This is a leadership position responsible for overseeing all warehouse operations and ensuring the smooth, efficient running of our distribution centre. The Warehouse Manager will be pivotal in maintaining our high standards of safety, quality, and customer service whilst managing staff, inventory, and logistics processes. This role is essential to the success of our operations and directly impacts our ability to deliver to our customers reliably.

Key responsibilities

Oversee all daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping activities

• Manage and lead a team of warehouse staff, providing direction, support, coaching and performance management
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including maintaining safe working practices and conducting regular safety audits
• Monitor and optimise warehouse efficiency, implementing improvements to workflow, processes and productivity
• Manage inventory control, ensuring accurate stock levels, stock takes and record keeping
• Liaise with logistics partners, customers and internal departments to coordinate deliveries and resolve any operational issues
• Maintain warehouse facilities and equipment, arranging maintenance and repairs as required
• Develop and implement standard operating procedures and best practices across the warehouse

What we're looking for

Proven experience as a Warehouse Manager or similar senior warehouse role within a distribution or logistics environment

• Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team
• In-depth knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management systems and logistics processes
• Demonstrated experience with warehouse management systems and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities with strong attention to detail
• A commitment to health and safety standards with knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders
• Experience in a similar distribution or storage sector environment is preferred
