Warehouse Manager

About the role

You'll oversee the daily running of the warehouse, coordinate workloads and work alongside your team when needed. From receiving goods to dispatching orders, you'll help ensure our customers receive reliable service. Our warehouse includes ambient storage, chilled rooms and a freezer. This role involves hands-on work across all three areas, including working in the freezer, so you must be comfortable working in cold environments.

Key responsibilities

• Leading, supporting and organising a team of seven.
• Coordinating receiving, storage, picking, packing and dispatch across ambient, chilled and frozen areas.
• Planning daily workloads to meet customer orders and delivery schedules.
• Maintaining accurate inventory, overseeing stocktakes and managing stock rotation and expiry dates.
• Ensuring food safety, temperature control, hygiene and workplace safety standards are maintained.
• Keeping the warehouse clean, organised and efficient.
• Working closely with purchasing, sales and delivery teams to resolve issues.
• Identifying practical improvements to processes, productivity and waste reduction.

About you

• Experience in warehouse operations and team supervision.
• A current forklift licence—essential.
• An MR truck licence—desirable.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
• An understanding of stock control and warehouse systems.
• A commitment to safe working practices and careful product handling.
• A willingness to work across ambient, chilled and freezer environments.
• Foodservice or food distribution experience would be an advantage.
