Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Packing and Shipping Specialist to join our dynamic logistics team. Responsibilities

• Prepare products for shipment by carefully packing items using appropriate materials to prevent damage during transit.
• Accurately label packages with shipping details, tracking numbers, and compliance information.
• Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, RF scanners, and order pickers to load, unload, and organize inventory efficiently.
• Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems like AS400 or MRPs to track inventory levels, update shipment statuses, and manage order data entry.
• Coordinate with logistics teams to schedule shipments and ensure timely delivery in accordance with shipping & receiving protocols.
• Conduct inventory management tasks including stock counting, replenishment, and cycle counts using inventory management software.
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace adhering to safety standards and trade compliance regulations for international trade.
• Assist with order picking & packing processes, ensuring accuracy in order fulfillment to meet customer specifications.
• Support warehouse operations by participating in load & unload activities and ensuring proper stocking procedures are followed.
• Communicate effectively with customer service teams regarding shipment statuses or discrepancies to enhance customer satisfaction.

Experience

• Prior experience working in a warehouse environment with a focus on shipping & receiving or order fulfillment is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory management software, and ERP platforms such as AS400 or MRPs is essential.
• Demonstrated ability to operate warehouse equipment including forklift trucks, pallet jacks, RF scanners, and order pickers safely and efficiently.
• Strong basic math skills for calculating weights, measurements, and quantities accurately.
• Proven experience in logistics operations involving international trade regulations and trade compliance standards.
• Excellent data entry skills combined with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for documentation purposes.
• Customer service orientation with the ability to communicate clearly across teams and external partners.
• Knowledge of shipping logistics processes including load & unload procedures and order tracking systems is advantageous.
