What they need
Thomas Foods International (TFI) is a proudly Australian, family-owned food business established in 1988. Today, we are one of Australia’s leading food companies, with operations across Australia, the US, Canada, China, Japan and Europe.
Our mission is simple: to feed families globally through premium quality products, exceptional service and sustainable practices.
We are now seeking an experienced Dry Store Manager to join our goat processing facility in Stawell, Vic, known as the gateway to the Grampians.
The Opportunity
As Dry Store Manager, you will play a key role in managing day-to-day dry store operations, ensuring production targets are achieved while maintaining product quality, compliance, safety and operational efficiency.
You will lead and support a small team, ensuring all processes are completed in accordance with TFI’s Quality Management System, WHS requirements and relevant export regulatory requirements.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced dry store, warehouse, meat processing or manufacturing manager looking to join a growing Australian-owned global food business.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily dry store operations to meet production and dispatch requirements.
- Ensure agreed production targets, operating efficiencies and yield expectations are achieved.
- Maintain product quality and compliance in line with export licensing and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor product movements, storage conditions and inventory accuracy.
- Ensure all dry store processes and procedures are consistently followed.
- Prepare accurate daily operational and production reports for the Production Manager.
- Maintain dry store, production, quality and compliance documentation.
- Promote and maintain a strong workplace health and safety culture.
- Lead, coach and train team members to build capability, performance and accountability.
- Work collaboratively with Production, Quality, Maintenance and Logistics teams.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and implement practical solutions.
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with TFI’s Quality Management System and WHS Management System.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous leadership experience in dry storage, warehousing, meat processing, manufacturing or a similar environment.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams and achieve operational targets.
- Strong understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.
- Knowledge of food safety systems, including HACCP and GMP.
- Understanding of export, domestic and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Experience managing inventory, product movements and operational documentation.
- Strong communication, interpersonal and listening skills.
- The ability to use data and operational information to support business decisions.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
- A current Australian Drivers and Forklift Licence.
If you are an experienced operational leader who enjoys working in a fast-paced food processing environment and is passionate about people, safety, quality and operational excellence, we would love to hear from you.
