Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced, reliable and hands-on Warehouse Manager to oversee the daily operations of our 10,000 sq. ft. warehouse in Bradford.

The successful candidate will take responsibility for the efficient running of the warehouse floor, supervising a small team, maintaining stock accuracy and ensuring all operations are conducted safely and professionally.

This is a hands-on management position suited to someone who can work independently, take ownership of warehouse operations and lead by example.

Key Responsibilities

Warehouse Operations

• Oversee daily warehouse activities, including goods in, storage, picking, packing and dispatch.
• Coordinate incoming and outgoing deliveries.
• Ensure goods are stored safely and efficiently.
• Maintain an organised, clean and operational warehouse.
• Identify opportunities to improve warehouse efficiency.

Staff Management

• Supervise and manage warehouse operatives.
• Allocate daily tasks and monitor productivity.
• Ensure staff follow company procedures and safety requirements.
• Provide training and support where necessary.
• Maintain high standards of performance and accountability.

Stock Control

• Maintain accurate inventory records.
• Oversee stock movements and conduct regular stock checks.
• Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies.
• Ensure warehouse management systems are updated correctly.

Health & Safety

• Ensure compliance with warehouse health and safety procedures.
• Conduct routine safety inspections.
• Oversee safe forklift and materials-handling operations.
• Ensure equipment is maintained and used correctly.
• Report hazards, incidents and maintenance requirements.

Essential Requirements

• Previous experience in warehouse management or supervision.
• Strong organisational and leadership skills.
• Experience managing warehouse staff.
• Good understanding of stock control and warehouse operations.
• Knowledge of warehouse health and safety requirements.
• Ability to work independently and solve operational problems.
• Good communication and basic computer skills.

Desirable Requirements

• Valid forklift licence.
• Experience operating reach trucks.
• Experience using warehouse management systems.
• Previous experience in logistics, distribution or third-party warehousing.
