Warehouse Manager

1. POSITION SUMMARY

Oversees all end-to-end warehouse operations including receiving, storage, inventory control, order fulfillment, dispatch, and safety compliance—optimized for high-volume, fast-turnover FMCG products with strict expiry, cold-chain, and shelf-life management requirements. Leads warehouse staff, enforces SOPs, and ensures on-time delivery, inventory accuracy, and cost efficiency aligned with business targets.2. KEY RESPONSIBILITIESA. Warehouse Operations & Workflow Management

• Plan, organize, and monitor daily inbound and outbound activities to support fast-moving product throughput; coordinate with procurement, production, and sales teams to align stock levels with demand.
• Supervise receiving inspection, proper labeling, location allocation, put-away, and retrieval of FMCG items—ensuring segregation by batch, production date, and expiry date (FEFO/FIFO strictly applied).
• Manage order picking, packing, loading, and dispatch to meet daily shipping schedules and customer delivery lead times; minimize order errors and product damage.
• Maintain clean, organized, and hazard-free warehouse zones; ensure proper racking, stacking, and handling of perishable, fragile, or temperature-controlled goods as applicable.

B. Inventory & Stock Control (FMCG-Focused)

• Lead regular cycle counts and full physical inventory audits; maintain ≥98% inventory accuracy and reconcile variances promptly.
• Monitor stock rotation, shelf-life, and expiry status; implement proactive measures to reduce write-offs and expired product losses.
• Track fast-moving vs slow-moving SKUs; recommend replenishment levels and storage layout adjustments to maximize space and speed.
• Ensure all inventory transactions are recorded timely and accurately in WMS (Warehouse Management System) or ERP software.

C. Team Leadership & Development

• Supervise warehouse supervisors, pickers, packers, material handlers, and drivers; assign daily tasks, set performance KPIs, and conduct regular coaching and performance reviews.
• Enforce attendance, safety, and operational policies; handle personnel concerns and recommend training needs to build a competent, safety-conscious workforce.
• Foster teamwork and clear communication across shifts; ensure smooth handover between morning, mid, and night operations.

D. Safety, Compliance & Quality Assurance

• Strictly implement occupational health and safety standards, local regulations, and company policies; conduct regular safety briefings and workplace inspections.
• Ensure compliance with food safety / product handling standards (HACCP, GMP, ISO where applicable) relevant to FMCG.
• Maintain all required records—delivery receipts, inspection logs, inventory reports, temperature logs, and equipment checklists—for audit readiness.
• Manage warehouse equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, chillers, generators); schedule preventive maintenance and ensure only authorized personnel operate machinery.

E. Cost & Efficiency Optimization

• Control operational expenses: manpower allocation, packaging materials, utilities, and maintenance; identify waste-reduction opportunities.
• Analyze operational data to improve productivity, reduce turnaround time, and optimize warehouse layout and space utilization.
• Coordinate with third-party logistics or transport providers when required; monitor service level agreements and resolve delivery issues.
