Job Description

Great Lakes Radiant & Industrials is looking for a dependable, self-motivated Warehouse Manager to join our established Akron, Ohio branch.

This position focuses on warehouse operations, shipping and receiving, inventory management, and maintaining an organized and efficient warehouse environment. We are looking for someone who enjoys staying busy, working independently, and taking on a variety of tasks throughout the day.

As a growing small business, everyone on our team wears multiple hats. Your primary responsibilities will include managing daily warehouse operations, receiving and organizing inventory, preparing shipments, and ensuring products are accurately stocked and ready for distribution.

Please Note: This is an active, physically demanding position in a commercial heating equipment warehouse. Employees regularly lift, carry, and move commercial heating products and boxes weighing up to 75 pounds throughout the workday. This is an essential function of the position.

Key Responsibilities

Warehouse & Distribution Operations

• Receive, inspect, and organize incoming inventory.
• Prepare, package, and ship customer orders.
• Load and unload trucks.
• Assist customers with order pickups and loading merchandise.
• Safely lift, carry, and move commercial heating equipment and related products weighing up to 75 pounds throughout the workday.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and participate in inventory counts.
• Communicate with management regarding inventory needs and stock replenishment.
• Operate a forklift (training and certification provided).
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
• Deliver products locally using a company provided vehicle when needed.

Other Duties

• Provide customers with updates regarding order status and shipping information when needed.
• Answer overflow incoming calls, take accurate messages, and relay information to management.
• Utilize basic computer programs, including Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, and order processing systems, to support daily operations.
• Assist with other general office and operational tasks as needed.

Qualifications

Required

• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to safely and repeatedly lift, carry, and move products weighing up to 75 pounds throughout the workday.
• Comfortable performing physically demanding warehouse work on a regular basis.
• Basic computer skills and ability to use programs such as Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, and order processing systems.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Resume required with application.

Preferred Experience

Experience in one or more of the following:

• Warehouse operations
• Shipping and receiving
• Inventory management
• Previous forklift experience is a plus but not required. Training and certification will be provided.
