What they need

Warehouse Manager

Overview

HENI is an ArtTech business that builds platforms to help artists share their work with the world. Across printmaking, physical artwork marketplaces, digital art, publishing, news, video production and art research, we work with the world’s leading artists and estates to make art accessible to audiences everywhere. We’re ambitious, fast-moving and unafraid to challenge how the art world operates.

The Role

HENI is growing rapidly and we are now hiring a Warehouse Manager. This is a permanent, full-time role based in South East London. The standard hours will be 9am to 6pm, Monday to Friday (some flexibility required).

Reporting to senior operations leadership, you will take ownership of the day-to-day running of our warehouse, leading the team that receives, stores and dispatches our artworks, prints, publications and merchandise.

Responsibilities include:

· Manage all warehouse operations, including goods in, storage, picking, packing and dispatch of customer and wholesale orders

· Lead, train and motivate the warehouse team, setting clear priorities and managing rotas, performance and development

· Own the Warehouse Management System (WMS), ensuring stock records are accurate and processes are followed consistently

· Oversee stock control, including regular cycle counts, stock reconciliations and investigation of discrepancies

· Take overall responsibility for warehouse health and safety, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, conducting risk assessments, implementing safe working practices, and delivering staff training to maintain a safe working environment.

· Ensure high-value and fragile items are handled, packed and stored to the highest standards

· Manage relationships with couriers, carriers and suppliers, monitoring service levels and costs

· Oversee the returns process so that it is handled in a timely and efficient manner

· Maintain sufficient levels of packaging and consumables in line with demand, while managing warehouse budgets

· Plan resources and capacity ahead of product launches and periods of peak volume

· Ensure the warehouse meets health and safety requirements, including risk assessments and staff training

· Produce regular reporting on KPIs such as order accuracy, dispatch times and inventory levels

· Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy

· Work closely with the Product, Customer Service and wider business teams to support their requests

The Ideal Candidate Profile:

· 3+ years' experience in a warehouse management or senior supervisory role, ideally within the art, fashion, luxury or e-commerce sectors

· Proven track record of leading and developing a warehouse team

· Strong working knowledge of WMS systems and inventory control best practice

· Experience handling high-value or fragile goods (preferred but not essential)

· High levels of accuracy and attention to detail

· Process driven and systematic in their approach, with a drive for continuous improvement

· Comfortable using data and KPIs to monitor performance and make decisions

· Excellent working knowledge of health and safety in a warehouse environment

· Excellent organisational and time management skills, able to perform under pressure in peak periods

· Excellent communicator, both written and oral, able to work with stakeholders at all levels

· Hands-on, team-focused leader with a customer-focused approach to work

Due to the volume of applicants, unfortunately we will not be able to respond on an individual basis and we will not be able to share individual results.

Pay: £35,000.00-£55,000.00 per year

Benefits:

  • Casual dress
