Warehouse Manager - Flex Batu Kawan

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Warehouse Manager located in Batu Kawan, Penang.

The Warehouse Manager role in charge of implementing a successful operation by managing all distribution, warehouse functions. Provides materials, equipment, and supplies by directing receiving, warehousing, and distribution services, supervising staff.

What a typical day looks like:

• To drive warehouse improvement project.
• To participate in IKW/SGA.
• To coordinate with warehouse supervisors & leaders for new process implementation.
• Ensure continuous improvement & automation to standard warehouse process.
• To work with internal stakeholder (production, planner, buyer, PM) to ensure smooth warehouse operation.
• To drive cost saving for warehouse related activities & operation.
• To optimize warehouse space.
• Maintains receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
• Complies with local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
• Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
• Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage system.
• Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.
• Achieves financial objectives by preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
• Monitors volume of business and defines appropriate work schedule.
• Sets productivity and establishes necessary controls to ensure objectives are met.
• Monitors condition and maintenance of operating / material handling equipment.
• Constantly monitors the efficient handling of shipments and receipts to create an error free culture.
• Reviews the loading and unloading schedules to maximize efficiencies and reduce expenses.
• Coordinate floor cycle counts, physical inventory, and reconciling records.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

• Requires a Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent experience and extensive knowledge of purchasing policies and practice.
• Requires a minimum of 8 years of experience in warehouse, logistics, or supply chain operations with advanced experience using MRP systems.
• Demonstrates expert functional, technical and people and/or process management skills as well as customer (external and internal).
