About the Role

Bennett Feed and Seed is looking for an experienced, hands-on Warehouse & Operations Manager to lead our daily logistics, receiving, inventory control, and delivery staging. This role oversees warehouse safety, stock organization, forklift operations, and team coordination to ensure commercial plantation orders, farm supplies, and retail feeds move accurately and efficiently. Key Responsibilities

• Warehouse & Logistics Leadership: Direct daily warehouse workflow, assigning tasks to yard and warehouse staff for order pulling, staging, and truck loading.
• Inventory Control & Stock Rotation: Manage feed and seed inventory using FIFO (First-In, First-Out) standards to protect bag dates, minimize shrinkage, oversee regular cycle counts, and report discrepancies directly into the inventory system.
• Freight Receiving & Cross-Docking: Inspect and receive inbound LTL, truckload, and rail/bulk shipments; verify packing slips, check for damaged goods, and manage efficient slotting across storage bays.
• Order Staging & Delivery Coordination: Supervise the staging and palletizing of wholesale, plantation, and local commercial route deliveries, ensuring 100% order accuracy before departure.
• Safety & Equipment Maintenance: Enforce safety guidelines across the yard and warehouse; oversee routine preventative maintenance inspections on forklifts, pallet jacks, and delivery equipment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of warehouse management, yard supervisory, or lead logistics experience (feed, seed, fertilizer, building materials, or agricultural supply preferred).
• Extensive experience operating sit-down forklifts, electric pallet jacks, and heavy material-handling equipment; forklift certification experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of computer-based inventory/point-of-sale systems (Paladin or similar POS/inventory software is a plus).
• Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail.
• Physical ability to work on your feet, operate machinery, and lift up to 50 lbs as needed in a non-climate-controlled warehouse environment.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 45.0 – 50.0 per week
