SUMMARY: Role Synopsis

This is a hands-on outbound logistics control role based at a 3PL operation in Midrand. The successful candidate will manage and monitor local deliveries through external logistics service providers (LSPs) , ensuring delivery issues are identified, escalated and resolved quickly.

The role focuses heavily on delivery delays, shortages, damages, failed collections, returns, claims, POD/IOD compliance and SLA performance . It requires a confident, assertive individual who can hold service providers accountable, communicate with senior stakeholders and drive issues through to resolution.

This is not a warehouse supervision, courier, fleet or dispatch role — it is a logistics operations and LSP position. POSITION INFO: We are looking for someone experienced in 3PL / logistics operations who can take ownership of: - Local outbound deliveries - LSP / transport provider management - Delivery delays & failed collections - Shortages, damages & discrepancies - Returns & reverse logistics - Claims & credits - POD/IOD management - SLA/KPI performance - Daily delivery queries & escalations - Stock transfers & stock counts Requirements: ✓ Relevant 3PL/logistics experience ✓ Strong, assertive communicator ✓ Able to challenge LSPs and drive resolution ✓ SAP highly advantageous ✓ Strong Excel skills ✓ Own transport preferred ✓ Available for overtime and one Saturday stock count per month We need a hands-on logistics problem solver who follows an issue from identification to final resolution.
