Warehouse Operations Director

The Warehouse Operations Director is responsible for overseeing warehouse operations, inventory management, distribution, and logistics activities to ensure operational efficiency, cost control, and accurate order fulfillment. The role involves developing operational strategies, optimizing warehouse processes, managing resources, leading teams, and ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and inventory control standards to support business objectives and supply chain performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement warehouse strategies, operational policies, and performance improvement plans.
• Oversee receiving, storage, inventory control, picking, packing, dispatch, and order fulfillment activities.
• Monitor warehouse productivity, inventory accuracy, order processing time, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Manage warehouse budgets, operating costs, labor allocation, equipment utilization, and resource planning.
• Establish inventory control procedures to minimize stock discrepancies, losses, damage, and obsolete inventory.
• Optimize warehouse layout, storage capacity, material flow, and space utilization.
• Lead warehouse managers, supervisors, and operational teams to achieve performance targets.
• Implement warehouse management systems (WMS), automation, and digital solutions to improve operational efficiency.
• Coordinate with procurement, transportation, sales, and supply chain teams to ensure smooth operations.
• Develop standard operating procedures and ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and workplace safety requirements.
• Oversee warehouse audits, stocktaking, performance reviews, and corrective action plans.
• Evaluate logistics providers, suppliers, and service partners to improve service quality and cost efficiency.
• Identify operational risks and implement measures to improve business continuity and supply chain resilience.
• Prepare operational reports, budgets, forecasts, and strategic recommendations for senior management.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and improve customer satisfaction.
• Support warehouse expansion, facility planning, capacity development, and long-term operational growth.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
• Extensive experience in warehouse operations, logistics, inventory management, or supply chain leadership.
• Proven experience managing large warehouse facilities, operational budgets, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong knowledge of inventory control, warehouse processes, distribution, and supply chain operations.
• Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP platforms, and operational reporting tools.
• Strong analytical, strategic planning, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.
• Understanding of quality management, risk control, workplace safety, and operational compliance.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive operational improvements.
• Relevant professional certifications in logistics, supply chain, or operations management are an advantage.
• Good command of English, both written and spoken.
