We are looking for a Functional WMS Consultant with a strong warehouse operations background to support global logistics and supply chain initiatives. The focus of this position is primarily functional and operational rather than software development or highly technical IT work. Candidates should have hands-on experience supporting WMS implementations and a strong understanding of warehouse processes, preferably within 3PL, logistics, supply chain, or large distribution environments.

We are looking for someone who understands how a warehouse operates, has worked closely with warehouse/logistics teams, and can translate real operational needs into functional WMS solutions.

This person should be comfortable working between Operations and IT, supporting implementations from requirements gathering and functional design through testing, go-live, and stabilization.

Required Skills:

• 3-5 years of experience in WMS functional consulting, WMS implementation, warehouse operations, logistics, supply chain, or related roles.
• Strong understanding of warehouse operations and end-to-end warehouse processes.
• Hands-on experience with Manhattan Active WM/WMS or comparable enterprise WMS platforms.
• Experience with WMS functional implementation, configuration, requirements gathering, and process design.
• Understanding of Order Management (OM/OMS) and its interaction with warehouse execution.
• Experience supporting testing, UAT, deployment, go-live, and post-go-live/hypercare activities.
• Experience working with both warehouse operations teams and IT/project teams.
• Background in 3PL, logistics, supply chain, or large distribution center environments is strongly preferred.
• Ability to identify operational gaps and translate business requirements into functional solutions.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with Manhattan Active WM and OM is highly valuable, particularly within global logistics, 3PL, supply chain, or distribution environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work directly with warehouse and logistics operations teams to understand business processes and functional requirements.
• Translate operational needs into functional WMS requirements and solutions.
• Support the implementation, configuration, and optimization of Manhattan Active WM/WMS and related warehouse solutions.
• Support Order Management (OM/OMS) processes and understand how order flows interact with warehouse execution.
• Perform functional GAP analysis between operational requirements and WMS capabilities.
• Support end-to-end warehouse processes, including inbound, receiving, inventory, replenishment, picking, packing, outbound, and shipping.
• Act as the functional liaison between Operations and IT/project teams throughout implementations and deployments.
• Develop and execute functional test scenarios and support QA, SIT, UAT, deployment, and go-live activities.
• Troubleshoot functional and integration issues during implementations and post-go-live support.
• Support training, knowledge transfer, and adoption of WMS processes among operations teams and Super Users.
• Collaborate with regional and global operations, IT, product, and implementation teams.
• Support continuous improvement of warehouse processes and WMS solutions.
