Warehouse Operations Manager

About the Opportunity

Our client, a growing, owner-led company in the Kansas City area, is looking for a hands-on Warehouse/Operations Manager to lead their warehouse team and keep daily operations running smoothly. This person will report directly to ownership, so it's a great fit for someone who takes initiative, solves problems, and wants a role with real impact and room to grow.

What You'll Do

• Lead, schedule, coach, and develop a small warehouse team
• Oversee inbound receiving and outbound shipping to keep orders accurate and on time
• Keep the warehouse organized, safe, and efficient, and improve layout and processes over time
• Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts and stock rotation
• Work with carriers, vendors, and internal teams to resolve issues and keep product moving
• Plan staffing and workflow for busy seasons
• Track key metrics and recommend improvements to ownership
• Hire, train, and evaluate team members

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of warehouse, distribution, or operations experience, including at least 1–2 years leading a team
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with a get-it-done attitude
• Comfortable with inventory and shipping systems, and quick to learn new technology
• A coach who builds people up and holds them accountable
• Able to work independently and communicate clearly with leadership
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet as needed
• Preferred: experience with kitting, e-commerce fulfillment, or a 3PL environment
