Warehouse Operations Supervisor - Mid Shift

Position Overview:

The Supervisor plays a key role in managing their team's workflow by assigning tasks, supporting staff, monitoring results, and reporting to senior management. They ensure efficiency by improving processes, setting team targets, and acting as a link between employees and upper management. Supervisors are also responsible for coaching and resolving issues.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operational Management:

o Oversee daily activities such as inventory management, shipping/receiving, and material handling.

o Develop schedules, assign tasks, and monitor work to ensure productivity and efficiency.

o Manage operational budgets and meet customer requirements.

• Training & Compliance:

o Ensure staff complete necessary training (e.g., OSHA compliance).

o Maintain records for audits (OSHA, customer, and others).

• Customer Satisfaction:

o Understand customer expectations to meet or exceed satisfaction levels.

o Address and resolve customer complaints, both verbal and written.

• Team Leadership:

o Set performance goals and deadlines aligned with company plans.

o Monitor employee productivity and provide constructive feedback and coaching.

o Maintain timekeeping records and manage payroll inputs for hourly staff.

o Handle disciplinary actions when needed, adhering to company policies.

• Safety & Compliance:

o Enforce company safety standards and report non-compliance.

o Manage workplace accidents, including reporting, investigations, and injury management.

o Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following legal regulations.

Minimum Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED; BS/BA in Logistics/Supply Chain, general business relevant field is preferred; or equivalent combination of experience and education.

• 3+ years proven experience as supervisor or relevant role in a distribution, 3PL or warehouse environment.

• Experience with 5S and continuous improvement programs.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Strong knowledge of MS Office and WMS software.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3PL industry experience is strongly preferred.

• Food grade warehousing experience.

• Experience with time keeping; ADP E-time is a plus.

Competitive Compensation: Attractive annual salary of $75,000-$85,000 plus a performance-based bonus, with benefits including health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and more.

Requirements:

Minimum Requirements:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) with some college level study is required.
• 2+ years experience in a supervisor warehousing role.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree strongly preferred.
• Microsoft Office Suites experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
• Inventory experience a plus
• Third Party Logistics (3PL) experience a plus
