Warehouse Operative - Air Freight

Duties

• 1. Responsible for daily warehouse operations after air cargo arrives, including breaking down air pallets (PMC, etc.), removing nets, unloading, sorting, counting, palletizing, stretch wrapping, labeling and loading goods for outbound delivery.
• 2. Ensure inventory accuracy and assist in stocktaking.
• 3. Operate equipment and handle cargo in accordance with the company's safety regulations and HSE training requirements.
• 4. Maintain a clean and orderly warehouse and comply with 5S management standards.
• 5. Follow reasonable work arrangements and instructions from the warehouse supervisor, and cooperate with shift work (including night shifts, weekends and public holidays).
• 6. Abide by all company rules, regulations and operating procedures.
• 7. Report any violations or potential safety hazards to supervisors in a timely manner.
• 8. Sort, count and verify cargo quantities as required by bills of lading and different last-mile delivery channels; promptly report abnormalities such as damaged goods, shortages and mis-sorting.
• 9. Responsible for daily sorting, classification and stacking of pallets; perform simple pallet repairs after training to ensure pallets meet safe usage requirements.
• 10. Timely dispose of waste stretch film, strapping bands, cartons and rubbish generated during pallet breaking and palletizing to keep warehouse work areas and aisles clean.
• 11. Demonstrate proactive work attitude. When there is no cargo handling work, take initiative to carry out pallet sorting and repair, warehouse cleaning, tool storage and other daily maintenance tasks.
• 12. Flexibly cooperate with the team to complete various tasks according to daily incoming cargo volume and actual warehouse operation needs to ensure timely processing and delivery of goods.

Skills

• 1. Have the legal right to work in the UK (British citizenship, indefinite leave to remain, settled status or a valid work visa)
• 2. Be able to work on a shift pattern, including day shifts, night shifts, weekends and public holidays
• 3. Possess basic English communication skills and be able to understand work instructions
• 4. Be in good physical health and capable of manual handling work
• 5. Warehouse operation experience or a forklift licence (PFLT/LLOP) is preferred
• 6. Have a serious work attitude, a strong sense of responsibility and team spirit
• 7. Comply with company safety regulations and attach importance to health and safety
• 8. Experience in pallet breaking, goods sorting, stock checking, palletising or loading/unloading in air freight warehouses is preferred
• 9. Be proactive at work, take initiative without constant supervision, manage spare time properly, and voluntarily complete warehouse tidying, pallet maintenance and other auxiliary tasks
• 10. Demonstrate strong responsibility and efficiency awareness, and be able to adapt to fluctuating cargo volumes and the fast-paced working environment of air freight warehouses
